The wilderness area can be accessed by the Ozark Highlands Trail and only a few maintained roads. The road we followed passed by an old homestead, which is all but gone. The only remnant that people once lived here is this lone, solitary chimney.

Eventually we made it to the creek, which did have some really nice fall color.
