Although I hadn't planned on stopping by there last night, I made a quick stop again at the Arkansas State Capitol building. It was perfect timing, dusk was quietly settling and the light in the sky looked great. Luckily I had my camera with me, and I rushed out for quick shot.
The Capitol flagpoles were at half-mast in honor of Pearl Harbor...

What a gorgeous photo. The flags must have been lowered later in the day cause I was at the Capitol around Noonish and they were at full staff. I remembered because I was thinking "aren't they normally at half mass on PHD?"
It took me a while to realize why the flags would be at half-staff.
But I think the capitol had some sort of Pearl Harbor ceremony that day, so maybe they lowered them after that?
Another nice capture...the only time contrails look nice seems to be at twilight. Again, well exposed to bring in those thousand points of light...wasn't that a campaign slogan?
Thanks, and a bit fitting though I didn't try counting the lights...
